Description

Delicious air fryer cheesesteak sandwiches made with shaved sirloin and bell peppers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin (shaved)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/3 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 sweet onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400F and line the basket with air fryer parchment for easier cleanup.
  2. Add the steak, garlic, salt, pepper, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and olive oil to a large mixing bowl and toss until combined.
  3. Place the steak mixture in the air fryer basket and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the meat is fully cooked.
  4. Then top the mixture with sliced provolone cheese in a single layer and continue cooking for about 2 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the cheesesteaks. If you like, brush the outsides with butter before filling them up with the steak mixture.
  6. Use a spatula or tongs to fill the hoagie rolls with the steak and veggies.
  7. Place the filled hoagies back in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to warm up.
  8. Divide the cheesesteaks between 4 plates. If you like, you can top them with parsley.

  • For easier cleanup, use air fryer parchment paper.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer’s model and doneness preference.
