Description

A delicious and easy chili mac recipe that can be made with ground beef or turkey. Perfect for any weeknight meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey for a lighter option)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (400g) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (400g) kidney beans (optional for chili mac recipe easy no beans)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup corn (optional for chili mac recipe with corn)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned (break it apart as it cooks).
  2. Add chopped onion and garlic, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  3. Stir in tomato paste, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper (this boosts flavor early).
  4. Add diced tomatoes, broth, beans, and corn. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add uncooked macaroni directly into the pot (stir gently so it doesn’t stick).
  6. Cover and cook for about 10 to 12 minutes until pasta is tender (stir occasionally).
  7. Turn off heat and stir in shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then serve warm.
