A delicious chicken lo mein recipe cooked with a savory sauce and tossed with noodles and vegetables.

- 1 lb chicken breast or thighs
- 8 oz lo mein or yakisoba noodles
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)
Instructions
- Slice the chicken into bite-sized pieces. Mince garlic and ginger, chop green onions, and prepare the sauce ingredients.
- Boil noodles as directed, then drain and rinse with cold water. Toss with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
- In a bowl, whisk soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, water, and cornstarch.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked, about 5–6 minutes.
- Pour in the sauce and stir until thick and glossy, coating the chicken well.
- Add cooked noodles and toss everything together until evenly coated.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
