A delicious and easy baked garlic butter salmon recipe that is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fillets salmon (about 6 ounces each)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley (or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray or a bit of olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Place the salmon fillets in the prepared baking dish, skin-side down.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over the salmon fillets, ensuring each piece is generously coated.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- If desired, use a meat thermometer to ensure the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- For an extra crispy top, broil the salmon for an additional 2-3 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.
- Once done, carefully remove the baking dish from the oven.
- Optionally, garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges before serving.
Notes
- This dish is best served immediately for optimal flavor.
- For additional flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine to the baking dish.
