  • 1 pound button mushrooms, rinsed and dried
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste salt
  • to taste fresh ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, divided

Instructions

  1. In a large 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter until it’s bubbly but not burnt.
  2. Add the rinsed and dried mushrooms to the skillet. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, seasoning with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley and stir to release the herb’s flavor.
  5. Remove from heat and taste for seasonings, adjusting salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Garnish with the remaining chopped parsley and serve immediately.
