Description

A simple and delicious turkey gravy made from drippings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups turkey drippings (or chicken broth)
  • 1/2 cup water (cold)
  • 1 pinch salt (to taste)
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (to thicken if desired)

Instructions

  1. If you want to add small bits of meat, they need to be precooked. If not, add a bit of olive oil into your pot and set to sauté to brown first. Then continue on to further instructions.
  2. Cook pan juices on sauté mode in your Instant Pot for 2-3 minutes. Bring to a boil (can do the same on your stovetop on medium heat).
  3. Mix cornstarch and cold water together in a small bowl until smooth, then whisk into your pan juices.
  4. Whisk together until gravy is smooth, add salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • Use quality drippings for the best flavor.
