Description

Delicious and easy slow cooker buffalo chicken sandwiches made with tender shredded chicken loaded with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 46 hamburger buns
  • Pickles, for topping
  • Coleslaw, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add chicken to slow cooker: Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  2. Make sauce: In a bowl, mix hot sauce, honey, melted butter, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Pour over chicken.
  3. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shredded.
  4. Shred chicken: Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return to sauce and stir.
  5. Assemble sandwiches: Pile shredded chicken on buns and top with pickles and coleslaw if desired.
