Delicious and easy slow cooker buffalo chicken sandwiches made with tender shredded chicken loaded with flavor.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 4–6 hamburger buns
- Pickles, for topping
- Coleslaw, for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Add chicken to slow cooker: Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Make sauce: In a bowl, mix hot sauce, honey, melted butter, garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne, salt, and pepper. Pour over chicken.
- Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shredded.
- Shred chicken: Remove chicken and shred with two forks. Return to sauce and stir.
- Assemble sandwiches: Pile shredded chicken on buns and top with pickles and coleslaw if desired.
Notes
- This recipe is perfect for meal prep and can be frozen for later use.
- Adjust the level of spiciness by varying the amount of cayenne pepper.
