Description

Ingredients

  • 1 can Canned Tuna
  • ½ cup Kalamata Olives
  • 1 jar Ardmona Basic Tomato Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 2 cups Rocket (Arugula)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the penne pasta. Cook according to package directions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté Aromatics: In a large frying pan, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-low heat. Add diced onions and minced garlic, cooking until soft and fragrant (about 8-10 minutes).
  3. Add Tomato Base: Increase the heat to medium-high, stir in 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, and cook for 1 minute until it becomes fragrant and deepens in color.
  4. Simmer Tomatoes: Add in 1 can of diced tomatoes and 1 teaspoon of sugar. Use a wooden spoon to break down the tomatoes, then serve warm.
